Chief Minister N Biren Singh has mentioned that sports activities can unite folks and communities because it has no faith, caste and creed. This was said by him on the closing ceremony of the thirteenth Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament held at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak Imphal at this time.
Addressing the gathering, N Biren Singh mentioned, “We must pay our respect to our great forefathers who had sacrificed their lives for the country and should not forget their selfless sacrifices. Recognizing the valour of Rani Gaidinliu, the Centre, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has commissioned a ship named-Rani Gaidinliu.”
The State Government is making its efforts in direction of creating memorial parks within the title of State’s freedom fighters, he added.
The Chief Minister additional said that the current Government is dedicated to convey inclusive growth within the State and has undertaken many growth works throughout the State. Mentioning that there’s a robust sports activities motion within the State, N Biren mentioned that the Government is creating Astroturf soccer grounds in Tamenglong, 21 playgrounds in Tamei space, 3 grounds in Oklong, Senapati amongst others.
