Last over of the powerplay. Rashid into the attack and Gaikwad greets him with a boundary. He steps down the pitch next ball and hits one over the bowler’s head for six. Holder replaces Sandeep. Du Plessis doesn’t mind the change as he meets a half-volley with a straight bat to pick up four runs down the ground. Two balls later, Faf skips down the track and hits one over the bowler’s head for four more. CSK cruising. 9 from the over. CSK 36/0 in 5 Overs.
The slow outfield is troubling the CSK batters. However, Gaikwad takes it out of the equation as he bludgeons a short-of-a-length delivery from Bhuvneshwar into the stands for a SIX. Faf joins the party as well! Over deep midwicket he goes… CSK 27/0 in 4 Overs.
Gaikwad makes room and goes over mid-off for four. Plays that shot well, does Gaikwad. Saha standing up to the stumps for Sandeep. Du Plessis is struggling to find the gaps as Sandeep continues to craftily alter his pace on each delivery. CSK 12/0 in 3 Overs.

Hazlewood to bowl out. Samad gets a single first ball. Abhishek, you beauty! Smacks one of the premier international quicks for an effortless six. Gone! Hazlewood has his revenge next ball. It’s DJ Bravo time. Saha takes a single first ball. Bravo has got the big fish, traps Williamson in front. That was a full ball and Williamson played down the wrong line. Slip in place. Priyam Garg in next. Dot to end the over. SRH 45/2 in 7 Overs.

A bowling change. Shardul Thakur into the attack. Saha takes a single first ball and gets off strike. Two dots to Williamson. Williamson takes off for a quick single and makes it safely in the end. Shot. Saha has lofted that over the bowler’s head for four. SRH 35/1 in 5 Overs.
Hazlewood to Roy, and 4 leg byes to SRH. The ball is keeping low. Gone! Roy is caught behind! Bottom edge to the keeper. The ball once again keeping low. Williamson is in at No. 3. Fine over. The ball is already staying a tad low. Chahar starts with a dot. Next ball, Saha has deposited one over deep midwicket for six. That one came in from outside off and Saha simply swivelled and slogged it. Saha now getting stuck into Chahar – another six, this time a lofted off-drive for a maximum.
