A sticker for the thirty fifth Jarkhar Sports Festival, popularly often called Modern Rural Olympics, was launched by Jeewan Singh Sangowal, the MLA from Gill constituency and chairman of the organising committee of the pageant. It is scheduled to be held from January 27 to 29.
The sticker was launched after a gathering of Mata Sahib Kaur Sports Charitable Trust, chaired by Narinder Pal Singh Sidhu, the chairman of the belief.
Jagroop Singh Jarkhar, the chief organiser of the pageant, stated competitions can be held in kabaddi, hockey, volleyball, wrestling and different disciplines in the course of the pageant, through which a variety of international-level gamers would even be seen in motion.
Winners of assorted occasions can be given money prizes, along with articles like motorbikes, bicycles, and so forth. Besides, six personalities can be honoured on the ultimate day of the pageant for contributions of their respective fields.
Narain Singh Grewal, Jagdeep Singh Kahlon, Balbir Singh Heer, Prof Rajinder Singh, sarpanch Balwinder Singh Mehoodpura and Laddi Sangowal have been amongst others who attended the assembly.
