Technological issues may be affecting Williamson County Schools students and teachers conducting classwork online on Tuesday.
WCS sent families an email late Tuesday morning sharing that students and teachers have experienced problems with Google Drive and Zoom.
Assistant Communications Director Cory Mason said some students have had problems accessing Google Drive, a national issue Google flagged as a “service disruption” as of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday. As of 12:23 p.m., Google gave the green light.
“The problem with Google Drive should be resolved,” Google’s website reads. “We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support.”
Mason shared problems using Zoom seem to stem from a local issue.
“This appears to be an issue with our network and our Informational Technology department is working to identify and correct the issue,” Mason wrote.
In addition, some teachers are having trouble using Zoom from their classroom this morning. This appears to be an issue with our network and our Informational Technology Department is working to fix the problem. (2/2)
