The first set of images from The Mandalorian Season 2 are here! The Disney+ series’ first season was a huge hit with Baby Yoda in the spotlight. The show ended up bagging 15 Emmy nominations, it was that good. And now, it is returning in October, sooner than fans had initially anticipated. To ramp up the streak of good Mando-related news, we’ve been treated to a glimpse of what’s in store in the upcoming season.

The first images of The Mandalorian Season 2 coming in from Entertainment Weekly give us a good look at its titular character (played by Pedro Pascal) and Baby Yoda. The images also see central characters Cara Dune (played by Gina Carano) and Geef Karga (Carl Weathers). Check them out here:

Like most Lucasfilm teasers, this one doesn’t give away much. But, will you look at Baby Yoda just chilling in Mando’s bag!

The Mandalorian Season 2 is expected to be bigger and better than Season 1 considering there is more going on in the Star Wars TV universe than on the big screen. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are back executives producing the show with the returning characters, as seen above. We’re sure of some major comebacks but there isn’t much in the way of cast additions. The new cast members are being kept under wraps much like the plot of the second instalment.

Jon Favreau did tell EW something about expanding the story into the world of The Mandalorian. He said, “The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world. The stories become less isolated, yet each episode has its own flavour, and hopefully, we’re bringing a lot more scope to the show.”

Favreau also compared the upcoming season to Game of Thrones and said that he was “really captivated by Game of Thrones and how that evolved as the characters followed different storylines-“

Well, that’s something to munch on. The Mandalorian Season 2 releases on October 30th on Disney+.
