The vacation procuring season — for Mega Millions lottery ticket patrons, at the least — is ramping up as officers say the estimated jackpot for Tuesday night time’s drawing has surpassed half a billion {dollars}.

As of late Monday, lottery officers estimate Tuesday’s prize at $565 million — or greater than $293 million if delivered in money — after there have been no fortunate winners holding a ticket that matched all six numbers within the final drawing held on Friday.

Tuesday’s drawing will likely be held at 11 p.m. EST.

Tickets bought in California and Florida for an Oct. 14 drawing shared the final Mega Millions jackpot of $502 million. The lottery’s prime prize has been constructing anew over 20 drawings held since then.

Lottery officers say there have been 11 successful jackpots of $500 million or extra since Mega Millions started in 2002. The file Mega Millions jackpot is greater than $1.5 billion, received in 2018, and a jackpot surpassing $1.3 billion was received in Illinois in July.

The largest U.S. lottery jackpot ever won was $2.04 billion in November. The winner purchased the fortunate Powerball ticket in Southern California.
