Apple has just announced the 3rd-generation AirPods at its Unleased event 2021. The new AirPods features a new design that’s similar to the AirPods Pro as well as it also borrows some crucial features like MagSafe support, Spatial audio support and more.
Meanwhile, Apple has also reduced the price of 2nd-generation AirPods and it now costs around Rs 2,000 less than it used to cost. The Apple AirPods 2nd generation now costs Rs 12,900 compared to Rs 14,900 before.
In terms of features, the 2nd-generation receives no change in that department and continues to offer similar features as before. Some of them include wireless charging support, Apple H1 chip, Siri support and more. Apart from that the AirPods claims to offer 24 hours of total listening time.
For those unaware, the new Apple AirPods 3rd-generation comes with a shorter stem and a redesigned charging case that appears to be similar to AirPods Pro. Powered by the H1 chip, the new AirPods come with Spatial Audio support. Apple also claims that the earbuds use computational audio to deliver sound with Adaptive EQ and it allows users to enjoy spatial audio featuring Dolby Atmos in Apple Music, movies, and tv shows
The new AirPods also come with improved battery life as per Apple. The company claims that the AirPods 3rd-generation will deliver a playback time of up to 6 hours without the charging case and up to 30 hours of total listening time with the charging case that supports MagSafe wireless charging. Most importantly, the new AirPods support fast charging and deliver an hour of battery life with five minutes of charge.
