Timothy Paul Brust

Timothy Paul Brust, 60, of Belpre, Ohio, died unexpectedly on Aug. 5 at Camden Clark Medical Center after suffering a heart attack.

Tim was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ohio University in Athens where he worked with ACRN Radio.

Most of his career was working with the media including serving as News Director at WATH Radio in Athens; News Director at WXIL radio in Parkersburg, WV; WCHS in Charleston, and later WNUS/NIX 100. He most recently worked as a sales accountant with IHeart Media. He also worked part-time as a sales associate at Office Depot and Rural King. He was formerly a correspondent for WSAZ-TV, the Columbus Dispatch newspaper, and the Parkersburg News and Sentinel and Marietta Times.

Tim was always involved with his children’s activities including band, Scouts, and sports. He enjoyed traveling the world with the family, loved going to OU games to watch his son Patrick march with the 110 and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

A beloved husband, and father Tim leaves behind a wife, Pamela Douglas Brust; two sons, Timothy Douglas, in Madrid Spain, and Patrick Ian, Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Dave, (Margy), nieces and nephews David and Karen; a sister, Joanne Corbett, (Roger), nieces and nephews Bill, Paul Corbett (Debbie), nieces and nephews Ryan, Meghan and Nathan; niece Patricia Corbett (Cynthia) and their daughters Kate and Lauren; niece Ruth Graham, (Eric), and nephews Paul, Mike and Neil; a brother-in- law, Charles Henry Douglas, (Joyce), (Roseanne); nephew Trevor Douglas, (Amy), their children Ethan and Emma; and Tobe Gillogly (Dave) and their son Jake.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ella Mae Weber Brust, his father Paul Brust, a brother William, and a niece Terry.

Due to the current restrictions on gatherings due to the COVID-19 crisis, a small, private family memorial will be scheduled for a later date.
