It’s time to roll up your sleeves and whip up this simple mango-banana smoothie bowl for breakfast.

If you’ve been wondering the same, we’re here with a delish and easy recipe that will give you a chance to boast of your culinary skills to the whole world without adding to your waistline. 

It’s summer time people, so we thought we’ll make some noise for our desi boys–mango and banana. So, today we are going to help you make a perfect a mango-and-banana smoothie bowl that makes for the perfect brekkie. 

Ingredients:

1 ripe mango, roughly chopped
1 ripe banana, roughly chopped
1 firm banana, sliced
1 firm mango, finely sliced
1 apple, finely sliced
15 – 20 black grapes
2 tbsp yoghurt (chilled)
50 ml toned milk (chilled)
2 tbsp honey
2 cardamoms
1 tbsp roasted flax seeds
1 tbsp roasted chia seeds
Assorted nuts (almonds, walnuts, and raisins), soaked overnight  

Preparation:

1. In a blender put the banana, mango, yoghurt, milk, honey, and cardamom. Blend until smooth. You can add more milk if you want a thinner consistency.

2. Pour the mixture in a bowl and start garnishing. Start with a layer of chopped bananas and raisins. Top with a layer of mangoes and walnuts. Finish with a layer of grapes, almonds, and apples.

3. Sprinkle some chia and flax seeds on top, and your appetizing and super nourishing smoothie bowl is ready to eat.

Banana and mango won’t make you fat, contrary to what you thinkDid you know that a mango (about 200 to 250 grams) will give you 150 to 175 kcals, but one piece of cake has upto 350 kcals to offer? 

First of all, eating anything in moderation won’t do you any harm! And you will be glad to know that these two fruits are a powerhouse of nutrients. From antioxidants to fibre, they have it all.

In fact, a study published in a journal Nutrition and Metabolic Insights has suggested that eating mangoes helps in improving blood glucose level, especially in people who are obese.

And when it comes to bananas then again you might be judging them wrong. A study published in the journal Nutrient claims that having one to two bananas daily can help regulate your body weight
