Commonwealth Games gold medallist Lakshya Sen and girls’s prime seed Aakarshi Kashyap had been knocked out within the quarterfinals of the continued National Badminton Championships in Chennai on Friday. While prime seeded Sen started the day with a win over Abhishek Saini 21-23 21-12 24-22 within the pre-quarterfinals, he went all the way down to Bharat Raghav 21-15 10-21 21-17, who had defeated Alap Mishra 21-11 14-21 21-18 within the spherical of 16. Raghav shall be up in opposition to fourth seed Tharun M within the semifinal, who beat Varun Kapur after he retired in his pre-quarterfinal conflict.

In the opposite semifinal, Chirag Sen will sq. off in opposition to second seed Kiran George.

While Chirag beat Arya Bhivpathaki, George defeated Mithun M.

In the ladies’s singles, Kashyap was defeated by Tanvi Sharma 21-15 22-20.

Tanvi will now face Isharani Baruah, who beat Shriyanshi Valishetty.

In the opposite girls’s semifinal, Anmol Kharb will tackle second seed Ashmita Chaliha, after each prevailed over Mansi Singh and Meghana Reddy M respectively.

In males’s doubles, the highest seeded pair of Krishna Prasad G and Vishnuvardhan Goud P shall be taking over fourth seed Hariharan Amsakarunan and Ruban Kumar R, whereas P Naveen and V Lokesh shall be up in opposition to sixth seeds Ok Pruthvi Roy and Suraj Goala.

In girls’s doubles, the fith seeded pair of Ritika Thaker and Simran Singhi will face P Amrutha and Pranjal Prabhu Chimulkar within the semifinal, whereas the duo of third seeds Priya Devi Konjengbam and Shruti Mishra will tackle Mrunmayee Deshpande and Prerana Alvekar.

In blended doubles, the pair of sixth seeds Nitin Kumar and Navdha Manglam will face third seeds HV Nithin and Maneesha Ok within the semifinal.

The rising duo of Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto will play in opposition to eighth seed Deep Rambhiya and Akshaya Warang within the different last-four match.
