The University of North Georgia (UNG) was honored because the winner of the Atlanta Technology Advisory Group’s (TAG) Innovative Driven Company of the Year within the Government, Nonprofit and Education sector at a March 29 banquet. The award utility targeted on the Cottrell Center for Business, Technology & Innovation, residence to the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the packages within the school.

“We are honored to be recognized by Atlanta TAG for our investment in ensuring that students not only know the theory behind technology and business practices, but also that they learn to apply that theory in labs and workspaces in the Cottrell Center for Business, Technology & Innovation that mirror corporate spaces,” Dr. Mary Gowan, MCCB dean, stated.

The north Georgia area’s data economic system faces a scarcity of adequately educated know-how staff. Companies occupying this premier innovation hub depend on specialised expertise resembling superior programming, techniques design, cyber operations, or know-how management to keep up competitiveness. They supplement MCCB undergraduate programs that supply affordable, technology-savvy, entry-level hires.”

The new MCCB constructing helps a rising variety of college students majoring in laptop science, cybersecurity, data techniques, logistics, and finance. Donors and grants have offered funds for entry to premier software program, such because the McLeod Software for logistics and Bloomberg terminals for finance and analytics college students. The Institute for Cyber Operations, funded by the Department of Defense, permits using NetLab+ for the cyber vary.
