Panjab University, Chandigarh (PU) and Indian Institute of Technology Ropar have been sanctioned a northern area science and expertise cluster by the workplace of Union authorities’s principal scientific advisor.

The cluster is located on PU’s Chandigarh campus and could be a non-profit organisation that’s geared toward connecting information producers with information shoppers and end-users.

It will search to reinforce the regional industrial base’s general competitiveness, analysis and innovation depth, and useful resource utilisation at par with the worldwide trade.

This is the primary regional S&T cluster sanctioned by the Union authorities and can take care the Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Chandigarh.

The cluster will deal with agriculture, meals processing, indigenous expertise growth and optimisation, pharma, well being care, waste administration and sustainable mobility.
