The Inter-School Vasant Valley Tech VVIZ 2020 concluded on August 27. A total of 34 schools from across the country participated in various technology-based events in Tech VVIZ 2020 which was held between August 26 and August 27. This year, the Vasant Valley School Tech VVIZ 2020 was held online due to the compulsions of the current pandemic.

The Vasant Valley School Tech VVIZ 2020 comprised of four contests: 1) Multimedia contest, 2) Music-Bytes, 3) Game-o-Matic, and 4) Tech-o-Bytes. All competitions were held in two rounds, the preliminary round, which was held on August 26 and the final round, which was held on August 27.

The theme of this year’s multimedia contest, the flagship contest of the Vasant Valley School Tech VVIZ competition, was “Lights, Camera, Action: It all happened Online”. The student entries were judged by independent filmmaker Kavita Carneiro, award-winning film editor Monisha Baldawa and cultural practitioner, curator and conceptualizer of art experiences Sameera Iyengar.

The second contest Music-Bytes tested participants’ ability to blend technology with music. The participants, while keeping the theme “Connect” in mind, had to compose a song using any music creation software. They were judged by DJ Jay Pei, musician Puneesh Suri and founder of electronic music project VRIDIAN Vir Rattan Chowdhury.

The students also participated in the two-round online gaming competition, Game-o-Matic. The participants were seen in action over a game of FIFA20. The technology quiz, Tech-o-Bytes, put the participants’ knowledge about all things related to technology to the test.

Multimedia Contest

The first place in the multimedia contest was secured by Hrishi Raj Sureka, Parthiv Gargo, Bornam Bora and Anushka Barua from Assam Valley School, the second place was bagged by Jai Kapoor, Aadi Jain, Vedika Bagla and Ayushmaan Aashish Kher from Vasant Valley School, while Karnit Mukut, Ananya Shailendra Sinh Solanki, Shaurya Sharma and Vardhman Lunia from Neerja Modi School, Jaipur took the third position.

Music Bytes

In the Music Bytes contest, Raghav Kathuria and Prakhar Dixit from Welham Boys School secured the first position, Prithvi Oak and Laila Alva from Vasant Valley School came second and Adimesh Singh Baidwan and Nischey Verma took the third spot.

Game-o-Matic

Karman Singh from St. Columbas School took the first spot in the Game-o-Matic contest while Kushagra Ganesh from Sanskriti School and Parth Arora from New Era Public School secured the second and the third position respectively.

Tech-o-Byte

In the Tech-o-Byte contest, Pragun Sharma from The Shri Ram School, Aravali, secured the first position, Srinjana Ghosh from Modern High School for Girls came second and Udhay Aman Chopra from Vasant Valley School bagged the third position.
