Visakhapatnam: GITAM has obtained a grant of Rs 3.28 crore from the Department of Science and Technology to ascertain G-TEC, the primary Technology Enabling Centre of Andhra Pradesh to be arrange at Visakhapatnam campus.
Speaking on the event, Director of Research and Development Cell of the establishment, Raja P Pappu talked about that the target of this G-TEC is to facilitate an ecosystem that can strengthen relationship between trade and academia by resolving enterprise challenges by means of technological growth in academic establishments.
He briefed that the G-TEC is focusing to create an ecosystem for know-how growth within the college and can present a platform to community researchers with different institutes, nationwide laboratories and trade.
The G-TEC will take-up the actions like mining of applied sciences being developed at varied labs and centres in educational establishments, evaluation of know-how necessities of MSMEs in and round Andhra Pradesh, evaluating maturity of the recognized applied sciences for additional growth. It aids in finishing up the market research and evaluation of the applied sciences for his or her market potential, periodic workshops, seminars in collaboration with industries, networking with varied know-how growth establishments and industries to make as market prepared merchandise. Further, he opined that the ability will open many doorways for analysis and innovation within the state, by means of trade and academia linkage.
