Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday prolonged a March 2022 decree imposing restrictions on the export of manufactured items and uncooked supplies from Russia till Dec. 31 2025, in response to the textual content of a decree revealed on a Russian authorities web site.

The decree, on the appliance of “special economic measures in foreign economic activity with the aim of ensuring the security of the Russian Federation,” was initially signed by the Russian president on March 8, 2022. It imposed restrictions on the export and import of sure uncooked supplies and merchandise from Russia.

The decree was meant to be legitimate till Dec. 31, 2023. With the current amendments, Putin has formally prolonged the decree till Dec. 31, 2025.

The listing of merchandise, which was later compiled by the federal government, consists of technological, telecommunications, medical, and electrical gear, agricultural equipment, nuclear reactors, fiber optic cables, metallic processing machines, amongst others.
