WACO, TX — Waco’s hip hop community is getting some national recognition.

“Blood, Sweat & Beats: The Waco Hip Hop Story” is nominated for a Southern Entertainment Award.

In fact, Wacoans were nominated in 11 categories total including Keep Waco Loud, local rappers, DJ’s and 94.5 The Beat for the best radio station.

It takes voting to win and the voting is open right now online at southernentawards.com.

It’s a big honor in the hip hop genre to win an SEA, which recognizes independent artists.

Past winners include Nicki Minaj, Yo Gotti, B.o.B. and more.

The 18th Annual SEAs will be announced in May of 2021.
