The difficulties of the Warren County District Court system of not having a full courthouse constructed during the COVID-19 pandemic have been mostly overcome through the cooperation of entities within the county, as well as the court system technology. District Judge Kevin Parker tells KNIA News being able to e-file judgements and filings has worked out well, and everyone has their full day in court as required.
“People can get on and file their documentation or make appearances through electronic document means. Right now the court facility is technically open, but we do a lot of video or teleconference meetings due to the fact that we want to not only keep the employees safe but the public safe while we take care of the necessary duties.”
The District Court of Warren County will use the Warren County Administration Building for jury selection and possibly trials, in addition to the temporary court building.
