SWEA CITY — Emily Meyer and Ainsley Ulrich mixed on a three-inning excellent sport, main the Iowa Class AA No. 6-ranked North Union Warriors to a 21-0 run-ruled Top of Iowa Conference win over the West Hancock Eagles on Monday in Swea City.

Meyer went the primary two innings, placing out three, whereas Ainsley Ulrich pitched the third inning and retired the Eagles so as, placing out the ultimate hitter to complete off the proper sport. It was win No. 96 in Meyer’s profession.

Eden Nielsen took the loss for the Eagles, pitching 1 1/3 innings. She gave up 17 runs — 13 earned — 10 hits, two walks and didn’t strike out a batter. Lauryn Johnson pitched 2/3 of an inning, giving up 4 runs — three hits, two walks and struck out one.

The Warriors scored 12 runs within the backside of the primary inning, sending 16 hitters to the plate.

They added one other 9 runs within the second inning and despatched 14 hitters to the plate.

In the primary inning, Shelby Fraker hit her first profession residence run, a solo shot that was blistered down the first-base line and rolled to the fence. Fraker used her sprinter pace to around the bases with out an Eagles throw to attempt to get her on the plate. Other RBIs within the first belonged to Ainsley Ulrich with a single, Olivia Price drilled a two-run double, and Shallie Walders clobbered a two-run double.

The Warriors continued their offensive explosion within the second inning. Beth Streuber had a two-run triple, Ella Ulrich had a run-scoring bunt single and wild pitches introduced residence different runs. The Warriors completed with 13 hits, whereas the Eagles helped the house staff out by committing seven errors.

For the Warriors offensively, Streuber, Fraker, Olivia Von Bank, Meyer and Ella Ulrich every had two hits, whereas Brylie Deim, Walders and Price every had one hit.

The Warriors (15-5) journey to Garner to battle the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Cardinals right this moment at 6 p.m.
