“🎶 Our anthem for the T20 World Cup in Australia! I N D I A – INDIA! See you soon @BCCI and best of luck from your Bharat Army!#BharatArmy #T20WorldCup #India #IndianCricket #COTI 🇮🇳” read The Bharat Army’s caption. It is to be noted that the Bharat Army is the official supporter’s group of the Indian cricket team. They religiously mark their presence in every match of the Asian side. Thus, it is safe to say that they are one of the most passionate supporters.
As far as the Rohit Sharma-led side is concerned, they will be playing two warm-up games in Brisbane against Australia and New Zealand respectively before starting their T20 WC campaign. Another important point to be noted is that their opening game is against Pakistan. This mouth-watering clash is scheduled to take place on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Earlier, India played two warm-up games against Western Australia in Perth. While they won the first, the Ashton Turner-led side stunned India to win the second game by 36 runs. Nevertheless, India’s form in the shortest format of the game has been fairly decent in the recent past. They beat Australia in a three-match T20I series, and followed it up by winning a bilateral series against South Africa.
Thus, it will be exciting to see how India performs in the T20 WC. During the previous edition in 2021, their performance was underwhelming to say the least. India failed to make it to the semifinal, and were knocked out during the Super 12 stages of the tournament. However, the 2007-T20 WC winners have a strong side on paper and thus, would fancy their chances of doing well this time around.
