Calangute: Water sports activities operators, underneath the banner All Goa Watersports Association, has proposed a charge chart of various boat journeys and rides to be made uniform throughout the state.

The state authorities had lately proposed that every one water sports activities operators observe uniform charges to result in transparency within the enterprise and to make the actions tourist-friendly.

Members of the newly-formed water sports activities affiliation stated that they’ve help of a lot of the native water sports activities associations within the state

In the proposed charge chart, costs of the journeys that are in demand have been elevated and costs of less-popular rides have been lowered. The costs proposed are Rs 500 for dolphin boat journey, which at the moment are between Rs 250 and Rs 300. Parasailing journey, which now prices Rs 1,200 have been proposed at Rs 1,000 and banana boat journeys, which value Rs 500, have been proposed at Rs 300.

The affiliation members stated they may seek the advice of the native associations earlier than giving their proposed charge chart to the state authorities.

In the present system, completely different water sports activities associations working on completely different seashores and jetties are charging completely different charges. “This leads to confusion among tourists, who then say that they are being overcharged,” the affiliation members stated.
