India wishes “normal neighbourly relation” with Pakistan in an environment that is freed from violence, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) acknowledged on Thursday. Responding to a query on Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s supply of holding “serious” dialogue with India on the Kashmir difficulty, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi stated India’s place on talks with Pakistan has not modified.

“We have seen the comment by the (Pakistan) Prime Minister. We have also seen, after that, the Prime Minister’s Office made certain remarks.
