Chandigarh, July 24

A webinar on Geographic Information System (GIS) was conducted by the Society for Promotion of IT in Chandigarh (SPIC) under the aegis of the Department of Information Technology for senior officials of the UT.

The webinar was organised for UT officials to give an overview of the GIS technology which is extensively being used in Smart City projects. The idea was to make officials understand the concept of the GIS and its application in different organisations.

The participants were briefed about the types of analysis that can be done with the GIS map. — TNS
