Dr. Kelvin Droegemeier, director of The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, will deliver a regional webinar on Friday, Sept. 25 at 12 p.m. CT. The University of Tennessee system and Vanderbilt University are co-hosting the webinar, with Vice President for Research, Outreach and Economic Development Stacey Patterson (UT-system) and Vice Provost for Research Padma Raghavan (VU) providing opening remarks and moderating a question and answer session with Dr. Droegemeier.
The presentation by Dr. Droegemeier, “Enhancing the Security and Integrity of America’s Research Enterprise” is open to faculty, students, postdocs, and staff. It will be live streamed and registration is required.
Dr. Droegemeier will provide an update on the many activities undertaken by OSTP and others during the past several months, provide examples of risks to research security that can harm the enterprise, and provide an update on steps being taken by OSTP and agency partners to address risks to security and integrity while maintaining an open and collaborative enterprise.
