A 52-year-old man allegedly took out a sword and beheaded his spouse over her “will take a while” reply when asked for tea “twice”. The stunning incident occurred in Ghaziabad’s Bhojpur village, close to Delhi.

According to a report in Times of India, day by day wage labourer Dharamveer received enraged over spouse Sundari’s reply, resulting in a bitter quarrel, throughout which the 52-year-old man introduced out a sword and allegedly hacked his spouse from behind.

Sundari slumped to the bottom and died. DCP (rural) Vivek Yadav was quoted as saying that Sundari wakened round 6am on Tuesday and began making tea within the kitchen.

“Dharamveer wakened a couple of minutes later and referred to as out to her for a cup of tea. The couple’s 4 kids (three boys and a lady) have been asleep in one other room,” he was further quoted.

“After around five minutes, Dharamveer asked for tea again and rushed to the makeshift kitchen on the terrace. He got angry when his wife told him it would take another 10 minutes for the tea to get ready and kicked the utensils away,” Yadav was quoted by TOI.

The report acknowledged that the day by day wager rushed downstairs and returned with a sword. As Sundari continued to make tea on the range, he hacked her from behind, the officer stated.

“Jolted out of sleep by her cries, the kids rushed to the terrace and tried to avoid wasting their mom. But Dharamveer swished the sword at them too. They went again to their room in concern,” Yadav was quoted

Soldier, the couple’s son, reportedly called up police. “My father would often pick up fights over tea. He had a habit of drinking tea at least five-six times a day. If my mother refused to make tea so many times or took more time than expected, he would shout at her. But I had never seen him hitting my mother. We were in shock when we saw her body on the terrace, blood trickling out of the wounds,” he was quoted by TOI.

Dharamveer, police stated, sat crying beside the physique till officers arrived. He was arrested and the physique despatched for an post-mortem.

“On the premise of a criticism by the lady’s members of the family, an FIR was registered in opposition to Dharamveer beneath Section 302 (homicide) of the IPC. He was produced in courtroom and remanded in judicial custody,” Yadav stated.
