Pune, Oct 26 (UNI) The NCP here on Tuesday mocked Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil, saying that the latter’s statements are nothing but a source of entertainment for the general public.

Taunting Mr Patil, NCP spokesman Pradip Deshmukh said, “Patil’s sense of humor is very good and his statements are entertaining the masses reeling under the woes of continuous fuel prices hike and rising inflation.”

“No one takes this person seriously,” he curtly remarked while criticising Mr Patil for taking a swipe at NCP supremo Sharad Pawar.

He told, “Patil, who is also an MLA from Kothrud constituency, had recently criticised Sharad Pawar by saying that the latter has become more active in Maharashtra politics as his nephew Ajit Pawar is incapable to handle such matters.”

Rebutting the BJP leader’s statement, Mr Deshmukh averred, “The experiment of Maha Vikas Aghadi has been successful in the state under the leadership of Sharad Pawar saheb.”

“Even in Uttar Pradesh, PM Narendra Modi is participating in many programs,” he said, adding that does this affects CM Yogi Adityanath’s political stature in anyway.

He continued, “In a similar way, Pawar Saheb is our supreme leader and he is in constant touch with the party activists and workers.”

He asserted, “Under the leadership of revered Pawar Saheb, Ajit Dada and Supriyatai Sule, the NCP will win the upcoming civic elections in Pune and neighbouring Pimpri Chinchwad.”

“Then, the faces of Chandrakant Patil and his team won’t be visible,” he added.
