Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah mentioned on Tuesday the Women’s Premier League will set a template for different sports activities to observe go well with, similar to it occurred with males’s Indian Premier League and it’ll revolutionise the best way individuals take a look at girls’s cricket. Shah mentioned that WPL was created not solely as a platform for girls in India and internationally to showcase and hone their cricket, but additionally to encourage the following technology of girls to make skilled sports activities a profession choice.

“Without a ball being bowled, the WPL is the largest sporting league. With women’s cricket well on its way to cement itself in mainstream sports, the WPL will only fortify the ecosystem around women’s cricket.
