The Abilene Youth Sports Authority (AYSA) continues to domesticate an environment for youth sports activities to develop in Abilene with the announcement of a brand new sports activities complicated and enjoying fields.

The Recreational Outdoor Complex or “The ROC” will function new out of doors grass and turf fields and an indoor complicated. The challenge is ready to be accomplished by spring 2025.

Brandon Osborne, the executive director of the Abilene Youth Sports Authority, describes the planned Recreation Outdoor Complex, or the “ROC”, during a groundbreaking ceremony for the addition to the AYSA campus Wednesday. The facility of outdoor sporting fields will open in spring 2025.

Kris Seale, govt committee chairman, mentioned that the concept of this addition started 20 years in the past.

“What this means to me is fulfillment of a dream I’ve had for our community, and I’m just so excited that we’re able to do this for the kids. Youth sports creates so many values. It’s not just to go play professional or anything like that, but they’re learning lessons about life and about winning and losing and leading and following and so many things,” Seale mentioned.
