The Abilene Youth Sports Authority (AYSA) continues to domesticate an environment for youth sports activities to develop in Abilene with the announcement of a brand new sports activities complicated and enjoying fields.
The Recreational Outdoor Complex or “The ROC” will function new out of doors grass and turf fields and an indoor complicated. The challenge is ready to be accomplished by spring 2025.

“I was asked to talk about why the city is investing in our youth by helping with this facility, and it’s easy to answer the question, it’s the only thing that ever pays dividends in the future. You’re building up the next generation,” mentioned Hanna. “This facility, and what the Dodge Jones is doing now, is going to continue to lay a foundation for a strong community in the future.”
With a mission to have interaction, equip and empower, as a part of the ceremony, visitors have been invited to write down inspirational messages or scriptures on a chunk of sheetrock that may later be positioned within the new complicated.
“I want you to write your favorite scripture, quote, whatever you want the kids to be, and in this next facility, on those grounds, that will actually go into The ROC. It will go there because there’s a power in words. There’s power in what your expectations are. There’s power in what you see,” Osborne mentioned.
Osborne is raring to serve extra children and convey in additional alternatives for involvement.
Throughout the occasion, the audio system expressed gratitude to the neighborhood for his or her assist on this enterprise.
