BALTIMORE — Sixteen folks have been injured Saturday when a mass transit bus crashed with two automobiles earlier than hitting a constructing in Baltimore, authorities stated.

Baltimore police stated officers within the metropolis’s central district responded to a Maryland Transit Administration bus crash at about 10:20 a.m.

A preliminary investigation confirmed that the bus crashed with a Lexus and a Nissan earlier than coming to relaxation in a constructing. The Baltimore Sun reported that it was an house constructing.

Baltimore City Fire Department spokesman Kevin Cartwright instructed The Associated Press that 16 folks have been injured, with not one of the accidents being life-threatening. He stated residents of the constructing have been being allowed to return to their residences Saturday afternoon.

Witnesses stated the Lexus was rushing and ran a cease mild when it struck the bus.

“There were bystander, spectator reports that there were vehicles speeding through this and the MTA bus, in an effort to avoid being a part of that, collided into this building,” Cartwright instructed the newspaper.
