The year 2022 has been able to bring smiles and happiness to sports lovers across the globe. For the last two years, all the sports lovers were ruing the the cancellation of almost all sporting events due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Several sporting events have made a comeback in 2022, and, above all, audiences are also allowed in stadiums now. Hence, the upcoming sporting events of 2022 are highly awaited by fans. Several international competitions will take place this year.

FIFA World Cup, Commonwealth Games and ICC Men’s T-20 World Cup are some most-talked about tournaments of 2022.

Two of the biggest and most awaited tournaments in 2022 are ICC World T20 and FIFA World Cup. The ICC World T20 is scheduled to start on October 16 and conclude on November 13. Australia will host this cricket tournament. On the other hand, FIFA World Cup will kickstart on November 21, and its final will occur on December 18. Qatar is the host of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Meanwhile, among the upcoming major tournaments, European Sports Championships (Multi-sports) will start on August 11, while World World Volleyball Championships (Men) will begin on August 26. Much to the joy of tennis fans, the US Open will start on August 29 and conclude on September 11.

UCI Road World Championships (Cycling) is scheduled to take place from September 18. The renowned Golf tournament, Presidents Cup, is expected to start on September 19. Besides, the World Championship for table tennis will begin on September 30, and the World Track Championships (Cycling) will push the paddle on October 12.

However, all the tournaments are subject to the prevailing Coronavirus pandemic. If the situation worsens, these tournaments can get postponed or cancelled as they have been in the past. Notably, several major games have already been postponed or cancelled this year. Asian Games, which were to take place from September 10, have been postponed indefinitely.
