So many times, we don’t even know what we’d like to cook, but if there are a few potatoes lying around, there isn’t much cause for worry. Potatoes intermixed with Indian masalas always weave magic, and who knows it better than our desi street food vendors who have been using the tuber to make a gamut of delicacies since time immemorial. Here are some legendary potato snacks from around the country that you can make at home today!

1. Aloo Chaat

4. Vada Pav

We wonder how many of us are not aware of Mumbai’s ubiquitous snack vada pav. The delish treat has found fans across the country and abroad. A wholesome batata vada, prepared in almost the same way as the bonda, slid in between the pillowy pavs. This classic snack has our heart.

5. Aloo Chop

Chops and cutlets are Kolkata’s pride. You will find them across many cabins, restaurants and sweet shops. Chops are like croquettes, but a little more loaded. The oh-so crispy aloo chops are made with the goodness of mashed potatoes, bread crumbs and spices. This aloo chop recipe is also packed with the goodness of juicy keema. Does it get any better? We guess not!

These are only some of the many potato snacks that we love to try our hands at time and again. Did we miss out on your favourite? Do let us know in the comments section below!
