On Tuesday, October 26th, Sampath Sowmyanarayan, Verizon Business’ Chief Revenue Officer, took the stage at Mobile World Congress Los Angeles, to deliver a keynote demonstrating the transformational impact of Verizon’s 5G network, the power of Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), and the effect new technologies are having on the world of sports, logistics, and IoT. The event also included guest appearances from Verizon’s Chief Strategy Officer, Rima Qureshi, and Dave Limp, Senior Vice President of Devices and Services at Amazon.

Sampath’s opening remarks emphasized the essential role that 5G, fixed wireless access, and Mobile Edge Compute are having in revolutionizing a broad range of sectors, across both consumer and enterprise markets.

The keynote culminated with Rima and Dave breaking news of Amazon’s Project Kuiper Low-Earth Orbit Satellite program, and how Verizon and Amazon are continuing their missions to reach underserved communities.
