A Chinese nationwide in Singapore was sentenced to 6 weeks in jail on Monday for pushing a 56-year-old Indian-origin safety officer who fell and fractured his wrist.

Wang Lin, a 42-year-old director at greater than 100 corporations, pleaded responsible to an assault cost in opposition to Prakash Govindan Damodaran outdoors the United Square shopping center on November 6, 2021.

Defence lawyer SS Dhillon informed the courtroom his shopper had gone to the shopping center to choose up his spouse and daughter.

“The negative publicity on social media has completely paralysed Wang Lin as he has been demonised as a rich and powerful brat. He has unduly suffered in the court of public opinion and his character has been defiled,” the lawyer stated.
