New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) busted an alleged passport racket in West Bengal and Sikkim, and arrested two individuals together with a Senior Superintendent of Passport Seva Laghu Kendra (PSLK) posted at Gangtok in Sikkim in an alleged bribery case.
A case was registered in opposition to 24 accused. It was alleged that public servants of Regional Passport Office (RPO) Kolkata and Passport Seva Laghu Kendra (PSLK) Gangtok entered alleged conspiracy with others together with passport brokers, middlemen and in pursuance of stated conspiracy, the accused had been issuing passports on the premise of false and cast id paperwork submitted by middlemen on behalf of these individuals/candidates who’re non-residents of India in lieu of unlawful gratification, CBI stated in a press release.
