Jammu: An Agniveer died of ‘self-inflicted gunshot damage’ alongside the Line of Control (LoC) within the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Army stated on Saturday. 

Recently inducted Agniveer Amritpal Singh was discovered lifeless with a bullet damage in a ahead put up on October 11. 

“In an unlucky incident, Agniveer Amritpal Singh died whereas on sentry obligation in Rajouri Sector, attributable to a self-inflicted gunshot damage. A Court of Inquiry to determine extra particulars is in progress,’ the Army’s Jammu-based White Knight Corps wrote on X.
