Actor Parineeti Chopra on Thursday stated she needed to audition for the function Amarjot in Netflix’s Amar Singh Chamkila, a movie that additionally fulfilled her want of collaborating with director Imtiaz Ali.

The movie revolves across the life and time of Amar Singh Chamkila, a preferred Punjabi singer within the ’80s who was shot useless along with his singer-wife Amarjot in 1988.

Chopra stated she was ready to work with Ali, recognized for movies equivalent to Jab We Met, Rockstar and Love Aaj Kal, for nearly a decade.

It used to feel like I came back from a gurdwara. I think I have done something good in my life that sir gave this film to me,” Chopra stated.

Amar Singh Chamkila will begin streaming on Netflix from April 12.
