As people online praised Kriti’s performance as Sita, she is reacting to their posts. “Halfway through Adipurush.. can not get enough of #KritiSanon’s mesmerizing screen presence as #Janaki! Twitter users were disappointed with the ‘Chapri’ dialogues in the film. 

A video shared on social media shows a monkey poking its head out of wall at a theatre. Its appearance left many in the audience overjoyed as they hooted and chanted ‘Jai Hanuman Ji’.

A video circulating on the internet shows a bunch of fans beating up a man for criticising the film. The video is reportedly from Hyderabad. The man said, “They kept all the monsters from the play station games in this one. Except for Hanuman, background score and some 3D shots here and there, there is nothing else.” About Prabhas’ performance, he said, “Absolutely doesn’t suit, in the get up. In Baahubali, he was like a king and there was a royalty. Seeing the royalty in that, they took him for this role. Om Raut did not show Prabhas properly.” He was then beaten up by those around him and had to be rescued.

Prabhas film received positive reactions from those, who watched it on first day. Directed by Om Raut, it also features Saif Ali Khan, who was called ‘terrific’ for his role as Ravana, the antagonist to Prabhas’ Raghav. Kriti Sanon’s performance as Janaki was also lauded.

Adipurush (Hindi) has recorded the fourth highest advance booking sales ever for a Hindi film worth around ₹31-32 crore nett, as per a new report by Box Office India.

Adipurush’s first day advance booking collection is lower than films like War and and its more or less in the same range as Brahmastra, but the film has better advances than these movies post the first day, said the report.

A monkey could be seen inside a cinema hall during the screening of Prabhas’ film. The video is grabbing attention on social media. 

Music composers Ajay-Atul have said that the Adipurush song Jai Shri Ram is a ‘scary’ one, as was their previous hit song Zingaat. They added that ‘everyone was scared of Zingaaat’ before they took it up.

Fans of actor Prabhas shared their excitement in Andhra Pradesh’s Yemmiganur by organising a bullock cart rally with enormous posters of the actor from Adiprush.

Actor Kriti Sanon on Thursday said she is happy that the current generation will experience the retelling of the epic Ramayana on the big screen through her film Adipurush, which released on Friday.

The actor, who plays the role of Janaki in the big-budget period saga directed by Om Raut, took to her official Instagram account and shared videos of children looking forward to watching the film.

Some took to Twitter to share funny reactions as Adipurushi released in theatres on Friday. One wanted to know of Telugu actor Allu Arjun was also a part of Adipursh’s ensmeble cast. 

Trade experts believe Adipurush is likely to make an opening collection of ₹50 crore, and the weekend earnings may rise up to ₹170 crore.

Before the film’s release, Aamir Khan Productions had sent best wishes to the whole Adipurush team. The Instagram post was captioned, “Wishing Bhushan Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, @actorprabhas, @Kritisanon, @OmRaut, and the whole staff, all the easiest for his or her epic movie Adipurush. May it win the hearts of audiences all the world over (sic).”

A person tweeted on Friday, “Adipurush is sweet. First half could be very excessive (fireplace emoji). Second half is okay, simply okay. VFX is sweet however not nice. Prabhas’ performing is good.” One more said, “Watching this movie for less than Prabhas.”

Apart from sharing pictures and videos from inside theatres, some fans are also tweeting their review of Adipursh. One wrote, “A stunning visual spectacle that will blow you away.” Another tweeted along with a video of Prabhas on the big screen, “Goosebumps loading…”

Adipurush finally released in theatres on June 16. Fans celebrated the day by dancing, cheering and burning crackers outside the theatres.

Videos from inside theatres are being widely shared. One such video from a morning show in a Mumbai theatre saw a seat was reserved for Lord Hanuman. The tweet along with the video read, “Arya Vidya Mandir School, Mumbai, children watching morning present of Adipurush.”

On Thursday, Adipurush makers held a private screening for the film ahead of its release. Kriti Sanon, who plays the lead in the Om Raut directorial was spotted attending the screen with her family.

Fans of actor Prabhas shared videos and pictures of the big screen as they watched Adipurush on its opening day. Prabhas has a huge fan base in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and the box office collection in these states promises to be impressive.  

On Thursday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted, “Adipurush income from non-national chains in addition to mass venues [multiplexes as well as single screens] will likely be MASSIVE… Also, south India [Telangana and Andhra Pradesh specifically] will likely be humongous.”

The latest advance booking numbers for the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer are in and the film has already sold more than 5.4 lakh tickets for its weekend shows. Adipurush’s advance ticket sales at multiplexes so far, were shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. He called the numbers ‘outstanding’.
