A now-closed adult entertainment club in Georgia lost its bid to maintain longer hours to sell liquor, because its annual liquor license didn’t create a vested right in the hours it was using before a city law shortened them, the Eleventh Circuit said Thursday.

When Follies obtained its 2018 license from Chamblee, Ga., the city allowed it to sell liquor until 3:00 a.m. most of the week. In February, however, the city amended its law to prohibit liquor sales after 2:00 a.m. starting in June.
