Akshay Kumar, who has about five films lined up for theatrical release, asks the audience to come out and watch the films in the theatres.

Talking to a news portal, the ‘Khiladi’ star said that it is a good feeling to have four to five releases in a year again. Things are getting back to normal and he hopes that it stays that way. According to the actor, they have been waiting behind the scenes with bated breath for the right time to showcase and unleash the entertainment to the audiences for the past year-and-a-half.

Elaborating further, Akshay added that the industry is being hopeful like they were before the second wave and keeping their fingers very tightly crossed that the worst is over. They are just going with the flow. According to him, it has been a very tough year-and-a-half for the entire industry with everyone bleeding money but things are finally looking up with the reopening of cinemas in Maharashtra. He hopes that the audiences have missed watching them as much as they have missed them.

Akshay Kumar has about five movies that are all set to hit the theatres in the next couple of months and it includes, ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘Prithviraj’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘RakshaBandhan’ and ‘Ram Setu’. There’s also ‘Oh My God’ and ‘Atrangi Re’, both of which are likely to release sometime next year.

He was last seen in ‘Bell Bottom’ which also had a theatre release. However, it was not released in Maharashtra as the cinema halls remained closed.
