Amid INDIA bloc talks, Akhilesh Yadav broadcasts alliance with Jayant Chaudhary | Latest News India

Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party and the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) on Friday introduced an alliance for the upcoming basic elections. Per the settlement, the Akhilesh Yadav-led celebration will go away seven seats in Western Uttar Pradesh for Jayant Chaudhary’s celebration.

An RLD chief instructed PTI that his celebration will contest seven seats in western Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh has 80 Lok Sabha seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party has been scoring landslide victories within the state since 2014.

RLD and SP contested the 2022 meeting elections in Uttar Pradesh. The alliance proved to be helpful for each the events — the SP 111 seats whereas the RLD bagged 8 seats.

In the 2019 basic elections, RLD was a part of the SP-BSP alliance. It contested from Mathura, Baghpat and Muzaffar Nagar seats however misplaced all three seats. The SP and the BSP gained 5 and 10 seats respectively.

The announcement of the alliance comes amid efforts by the Opposition’s INDIA bloc to sew alliances in a number of states, together with UP, Delhi and Punjab.
