If a semblance of normality is what you wish for, brace up. Bigg Boss 14 will be back in October and have all that you have missed through the six months of lockdown — cinemas, eating-out, spas and gyms! As Salman Khan launched the season of 2020 on the beats of Just Chill, one wonders if he is going to look super-fit till eternity.

The previous season of the show got so popular that the makers had to ‘extend’ it and team Bigg Boss hopes to improve upon it this time around. Well, for starters it’s the atamnirbhar House with all that one had to let go during the pandemic. Something that Salman tried at his farmhouse, where he spent the lockdown. “I planted rice, genda and walked in wilderness,” he says in his lockdown diaries.

Not scripted

While using the platform to answer oft-asked question that if Bigg Boss is scripted, Manisha Sharma, Chief Content Officer, Hindi Mass Entertainment, Viacom18, says, “It’s just not possible to script for a 100 days. You have seen how some episodes are so boring, while others explosive. Emotions change and so do loyalties.” The team Bigg Boss maintains that only the person on the show who is allowed to go back home is Salman Khan.

Bigg Boss launch also saw three ex-contestants — Sidharth Shukla, Hina Khan and Gauahar Khan — who will be seen in significant roles, but for that one has to wait till October 4. What they did do was question Salman and guide the very first contestant to be revealed — Jaan Kumar Sanu. While answering bhai ko kis se dar lagta hai, Salman replied, “Cheenk se, khansi se aur kiss se.”

Expect the son of the legendary singer Kumar Sanu to make a befitting entry, which he did with the song Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan. While Salman did try scaring the budding singer of the big bad world of Bigg Boss, Jaan seemed up for the challenge. Grilled by Sidharth, he also got handy tips to survive inside the House. “Get used to eating less and start doing tasks like staying under the bed for four days” came the advice from Salman.

Now the fans can also watch the show on video-on-demand and it seems they are in for a real treat!
