Vadodara: Representatives of different sports associations, in a meeting with the top brass of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), demanded that they should be granted access of the indoor and outdoor sports complexes in the city.
The complexes built on VMC land with handsome amounts being invested by VMC are being managed by a joint venture formed by the civic body and the Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG). The associations demanded that VMC should have a better representation in the JV.
The associations were assured by mayor Keyur Rokadia that he would take up their demands with the state government. The associations also pointed out that the sports complexes needed sprucing up.
