Aiming to post a strong target, South Africa are seven wickets down against Australia in the first match of the Super 12 stage of the ongoing T20 World Cup at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. Australia captain Aaron Finch initially won the toss and opted to field. South African skipper Temba Bavuma lost his wicket in the second over against Glenn Maxwell, giving Australia a great start. Bavuma’s replacement Rassie van der Dussen, who came in at No. 3, got dismissed by Josh Hazlewood after registering only two runs off three balls. Hazlewood added another wicket to his tally, sending opener Quinton de Kock back to the pavilion after a bizarre dismissal. Pat Cummins got on the act, dismissing Heinrich Klaasen. Adam Zampa dismissed both David Miller and Dwayne Pretorious. Keshav Maharaj couldn’t even open his account as he was run out by the duo Glen Maxwell and Matthew Wade, following a terrible mix-up. Both teams have been placed in Group 1 and are seeking their maiden T20 title. (LIVE SCORECARD)
