Bengal Wants Flights From 8 Cities Stopped From July 6, Writes To Centre

Kolkata:

Bengal has written to the Centre, asking that incoming flights from 8 cities, where coronavirus is raging, be stopped from July 6. The list includes Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur,  Chennai, Indore,  Ahmedabad and Surat, sources said.

All flights from eight “high-prevalence cities” should be stopped, Bengal has said in its letter to the Civil Aviation Ministry. Flights from other places should be cut down to one a week for each airline.

Flights should be limited to all three airports in the state — Kolkata, Andal and Bagdogra.
