Syracuse, N.Y. — RPM Raceway at Destiny USA will reopen Friday.
The indoor go-kart track will limit capacity to 50% of its normal level. Only go-kart racing will be offered initially.
The venue’s arcade will reopen at a later date.
RPM said it is implementing a number of safety measures due to the coronavirus pandemic, including extra cleaning and disinfecting, use of protective shields and introduction of hand sanitizing and hygiene stations. Staff will wear masks at all times and use gloves when handling food, drinks and money.
Staff will also get temperature checks at the start and end of each shift. Guests can now register for races through their mobile devices.
Customers will be required to wear a mask. The venue will give every customer a free RPM mask before each race and said it is hopeful customers will follow social distancing practices, stay home if sick and wash their hands frequently.
RPM is offering a free race during the month of July to essential health care workers with a valid ID.
Destiny closed in March to help slow the spread of the pandemic. It reopened Friday, although some tenants were offering curbside pickup and others with their own exterior entrances were allowed to open earlier.
As of Tuesday, 130 of the mall’s 243 tenants had reopened.
