BJP’s Mahant Balak Nath Yogi, who likened Tijara ballot with India-Pakistan match, wins | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: BJP candidate from Alwar’s Tijara meeting constituency Baba Balak Nath secured victory with a margin of 6,173 votes in opposition to Congress candidate and his nearest rival Imran Khan.
Firebrand chief Balak Nath secured 1,10,209 votes whereas Imran acquired 1,04,036 votes in a carefully fought contest.

Riding excessive on Hindutva wave, Balak Nath, through the campaigning, had requested voters of his constituency to show up in massive numbers to solid their vote on November 25, whereas likening the election to an India-Pakistan cricket match.

“This is like an India-Pakistan match this time. It is not just a fight for victory, it is also a fight for voting percentage,” the Alwar MP was purportedly heard saying in a video.
“Those ‘kabilas’ (tribes) have united and we have to defeat their plans with voting percentage so that in future they never dare to unite and conspire to defeat our Sanatan Dharma,” he had mentioned, with out elaborating on ‘kabilas’.
He mentioned if the voting share of minority voters stays excessive, then the voting share of Hindu voters must also be excessive.
The Tijara meeting constituency falls underneath the Alwar Lok Sabha constituency, which is presently represented by 39-year-old Nath as a Member of Parliament.
