BLACKPINK’s upcoming full-album release is on every fan’s mind right now. The K-pop girl group kickstarted the hype for their comeback with ‘How You Like That’ and dropped a hell of a follow-up by unleashing ‘Ice Cream’ upon the fandom. Between their studio album launch and their debut at No. 13 on Billboard’s Hot 100, the quartet is having quite the year. Band member Jisoo, teased some details about “The Album” in a recent interview and it’s just what we needed.

We are weeks away from BLACKPINK’s first studio album’s release but that doesn’t mean we aren’t tracking every detail leading up to the much-awaited unveil. Jisoo’s cover story on Dazed Korea had her chatting candid about her hopes for the album. In an interview with the magazine (via Soompi) the singer said, “I want to show a stronger version of BLACKPINK through our full album. Along with the sides of us that we’ve presented so far, we’ve prepared a lot more of our various charms,”

The band recently made headlines with the release of ‘Ice Cream’ in collaboration with Selena Gomez. The colourful track full of summer fun and treats was a massive success. The band’s Billboard entry sets the tone of the rest of the album. BLACKPINK’s full album drops on October 2, 2020. But that’s not all, a BLACKPINK documentary is also in store. The concert movie is a first look into the recording process of the band’s follow up album, which depicts the highs and lows of being a K-pop idol group and showcases each member’s incredible talent that when combined, creates the uniquely trailblazing DNA of BLACKPINK.
