Kangana Ranaut has been given ‘Y-plus’ security cover that will be provided by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). This move was sanctioned by the Centre, after she faced threats, post her comment comparing Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). Slamming those threatening her from visiting Mumbai, Kangana announced that she will be arriving in the city on September 9. According to Times Now, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has stated that they will quarantine the actress for her stay of her over seven days.

After she was given the Y-plus security, Kangana had thanked home minister Amit Shah, “This is proof that no fascist will be able to crush a patriotic voice, I am thankful to @AmitShah who, given the circumstances, could have advised me to visit Mumbai after a few days. However he kept the honour of the words of a daughter of India and protected my self-respect and pride.”
