Balangir: In a significant enhance to sports activities in western Odisha’s Balangir district, an Indoor stadium was inaugurated at PR School right here on Sunday.

The indoor stadium, supported by GAIL (India) Limited underneath its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, was formally opened by Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Hardeep Singh Puri.

Among different dignitaries current on the inauguration had been Odisha Minister Tukuni Sahu, Balangir MP Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo, MLAs Narasingha Mishra & Dr Mukesh Mahaling, ex-Odisha minister KV Singh Deo and Director (Projects), GAIL Deepak Gupta.

Built at a price of Rs 9.9 crore, the indoor stadium affords state-of-the-art services, together with a primary corridor with 4 badminton courts conforming to nationwide requirements.

The venture goals to boost and promote sporting services within the area, foster expertise and fervour for sports activities among the many youth.
