BSF shoots down drone alongside India-Pakistan border in Amritsar : The Tribune India

The Border Security Force has shot down a drone that sneaked into the Indian facet from Pakistan in Punjab’s Amritsar district, officers stated on Tuesday.

The BSF personnel fired on the drone on Monday night time after they observed it coming into the Indian territory close to Chaharpur village, round 40 km north of Amritsar metropolis, they stated.

During the search operation, the BSF recovered a partially-damaged hexacopter, an unmanned aerial car with six rotors. A suspected merchandise in a white polythene was additionally connected beneath it, in line with the officers.

The drone is suspected to be carrying a medication payload and its contents are being ascertained, an officer stated.

“Alert troops of BSF once again were able to capture a drone and foil smuggling attempt,” a spokesperson for the power stated.

On November 25, the BSF troops had additionally shot down a Pakistani drone close to the worldwide border in Amritsar.
