Rugby fans rejoice! The Gallagher Premiership is finally back and BT Sport is the only place that you can watch every single minute of the action.

In a landmark deal with Premiership Rugby, we will show all 57 remaining matches in the culmination of the 2019-20 domestic season from Friday 14 August through to the play-off final at Twickenham.

Every single match will be available to live stream via the BT Sport app and bt.com/sport, with selected games also broadcast on BT TV.

We’re also working with Premiership Rugby and its clubs on a new initiative to ensure season ticket holders don’t miss a single home game.

The BT Sport Match Pass will offer season ticket holders free access to home matches broadcast on BT Sport for the remainder of the 2019/20 season. Further information will be made available via clubs soon.

How do I watch every game live?

Subscribers will be able to watch all 57 remaning matches on BT TV or via live stream on the BT Sport app and BT Sport website.

The action officially resumes on Friday 14 August as Harlequins welcome Sale to Twickenham Stoop in what is expected to be Manu Tuilagi’s Sharks debut.

That game kicks off a stellar line up on re-opening weekend in the Premiership, including league leaders Exeter Chiefs versus Leicester Tigers on Saturday afternoon and high-flying Bristol Bears’ clash with reigning champions Saracens.

Our enhanced player, available on the BT Sport app, for mobile and tablet, and bt.com/sport, will allow subscribers to keep abreast of every match from the remaining gameweeks.

With in-built try alerts, our enhanced player allows you to re-watch key moments with our interactive timeline, meaning you need not miss a single try from what is expected to be an enthralling end to the domestic season.

Rugby fans will also have more ways to watch rugby’s restart than ever, with the BT Sport Monthly Pass offering no-contract access for one month at a time, for just £25.

BT Sport’s Monthly Pass is available on a wide range of devices and platforms including Samsung smart TV, Sony PlayStation, Xbox, Now TV, Apple TV, as well as mobiles, tablets, BT TV, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin Media.

Premiership Rugby’s Chief Commercial Officer Mark Brittain said: “We are so pleased that our loyal fans won’t miss a moment of the action as Premiership Rugby returns on 14 August. Huge thanks to our partners at BT Sport for their collaboration to bring viewers the very best Gallagher Premiership Rugby experience possible, in what promises to be a compelling conclusion to the season.”

Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “The return of Gallagher Premiership Rugby is an exciting moment for rugby fans and we’re pleased to be bringing more Premiership Rugby than ever before to BT Sport subscribers.

“We are looking forward to broadcasting live domestic club rugby again and bringing new innovations to our customers to give them the best viewing experience. Alongside every fixture from the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League in August, live MotoGP and now live rugby, viewers will be in for a packed summer of sport like never before.”

What to expect from our Premiership coverage?

Our live coverage will come from the grounds, led by our team of experts and commentators including Ugo Monye, Ben Kay, Lawrence Dallaglio and Austin Healey.

Viewers of certain matches on BT Sport will be able to watch with pre-recorded dynamic crowd noise – the line-up of matches available with crowd noise to be confirmed in due course.

BT Sport will also make selected games available in 4K HDR via BT Sport Ultimate, as well as using its industry leading remote production capabilities to comply with Covid 19 restrictions, and minimise the number of production crew attending grounds, with the majority of crew working remotely or from home.

The build up to the new season will include special editions of Rugby Tonight, starting on Wednesday 12 August on BT Sport 1HD.

Premiership Rugby is still in consultation with clubs over the composition of Round 21 with the option of playing the matches either in the week beginning Monday 21 September, or a week later, for those clubs involved in European competition. The confirmed fixtures for Round 21 will be announced at a later date.

We can also confirm that the 2020-21 Gallagher Premiership Rugby season will start on Friday 20 November, concluding with the final at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 26 June.
